The Bioparc

Jeff had a conference so Avery and I were on our own for a few days. One day we hung out at the hotel, swam found a nearby grocery store and walked around the area. Another day we decided to take off to Bioparc Valencia. Bioparc is basically a zoo. We had a great time there. It was in the 90s so we only lasted a few hours but we managed to see the entire zoo in that time.
Eating with the animals. The cafeteria was outdoors. Right below Ave there was a stream with ducks in it. I think that was her favorite but she couldn't understand why she couldn't feed the ducks like we do at Gibson Park!

This was my favorite, a mountain gorilla. She was living with a silverback who was a few feet away. You could tell he made her nervous and she was always watching him, I'm guessing so that she could do what he wanted her to do. Such amazing animals to watch and so human. It's a shame so many of them are being poached or killed in their home lands. I could have sat and watched them all day.

Waiting for a bird show. It was so hot they had a sprinkler area where you could get wet. Ave had fun running through it.
At the bird show. The little one was getting hot and started to say she wanted to go home. I promised her a toy afterwards and that cheered her right up. She ended up getting a lion hand puppet and a stuffed snake. She was happy the rest of the afternoon.

We had a great day at the zoo!
